I’m so thrilled with my Shimano Curado 200E7 that it just seemed wrong to mate it with my trusty 20 year old Team Daiwa rods even for temporary purposes . I really wanted to try the G Loomis Bronzeback Casting Rods but they are twice my rod budget. So after a lot of research I settled on a brand unknown to me. That brand is Falcon Rods. I selected the LFC-5-166 Herm Special Baitcasting Trigger Rod from the list of available rods at Cabela’s Item Number: UK-114172. The rod specifications are as follow
- Rod Series-LowRider
- Rod Type-XG Casting
- Rod Action-Medium Heavy
- Rod Name-LR Herm Special
- Rod Flex-Medium Fast
- Fuji Guides-9
- Line Weight-12-20 lb.
- Lure Weight-1/4 to 3/4 oz.
- Rod Length (feet)-6′ 6″
- Handle (inches)-9″
This rod configuration can handle worms, jigs and spinner baits.
Now one thing to note most folks might prefer to mate this reel with a slower retrieving reel such as the Shimano Curado CU200E5 for its 5:1 ratio. I prefer the 7:1 ration on the Curado 200E7.
Ill post more after the rod arrives and I get it on the lake
