Every day when I leave work I make a mental note of how much day light is left. I’m really getting the fishing bug. A few weeks ago I was ordering a reconyx trail camera for my little woman at Cabelas.com and I was baited by the “New for 2012″ section. Needless to say I loaded up my shopping cart with many new lures. Unfortunately I ended up with much less. In my excitement I didn’t notice that many of the lures were on back order. Here’s what I ended up with.

I guess I will be pleasantly surprised when the rest arrive.
Anyhow I figure another 6-8 weeks I will be hitting the local reservoir.
Last bit of news. Back in December I joined the Guilford sportsman’s Association. The GSA has a stocked pond on site. I hope I get the opportunity to help promote fishing with some of the local youth.
